Rotary Club of Chesterfield Scarsdale World Polio Day Tuesday 24th October 2018 Rotarians Rob Wallace, PHF and Has Oldham have organised events to celebrate World Polio Day. The Rotary Club of Chesterfield Scarsdale has teamed up with Ashgate Hospice and Chrsterfield Golf Club to plant crocus corms, which will flowwer each Spring. Pictured above is the Rotary Roundel, outside the Hospice. The initiative is part of efforts to raise money and awareness for the fight to eradicate this crippling and deadly disease from our planet! Rotary has played a large part in the success of reducing the incidents of Polio throughout the world from 350,000 cases p.a. to just 7. Only 3 countries still remain to be rid of this crippling disease.
