President Neil Swanwick presents Lucy Nickson, CEO at Ashgate Hospice, with a cheque for £3,600, on Thursday 2 March 2017. The money was collected as follows:
£1,000 from the Golf Day in 2016, organised by PP Brian Harrison;
£2,076 from giving by local people at the Christmas Collection held at the Sainsbury’s Superstore, in Chesterfield – a great big thanks to the people who donated, some by as much as £50, and the management at Sainsbury’s Store;
£524 collected from many of the club members in lieu of sending each other Christmas cards.

Donations to International Projects
On Thursday 2 March 2017, Has Oldham announced that a District Grant of £1,000 had been received by the club for Baback Project 2 - improvement works at a school in Senegal, Africa.
£3,864 to Rotary Foundation.
£1,000 donated to Polio Plus Rotary's fight to eradicate Polio, throughout the World - this figure will be boosted to £3,000 by the Gates Foundation.
